Rockledge Park Elopement

Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Arlene and I just wanted to share an elopement I recently did at Rockledge Park on Lake Grapevine. I serve all of North, East and Central Texas as a wedding photographer, as well as elopements, engagements and surprise proposals. I would love to be a part of your new beginning!

Rockledge Park at Lake Grapevine is one of the most popular spots among couples and photographers alike. It’s red rocky cliff edges and beaches are stunning and looks like something you would find in another part of the U.S., but it is right here in North Texas! Talk about romantic sunset walks on the beach or stunning overlooks while you stand and embrace your sweetheart. I will be able to capture every moment of your love in action during your session. You will leave in anticipation and so excited for your images.

Time of day is everything for any engagement shoot, proposal or elopement. The timing of sunset is crucial and during this time of day your images will be glowing and add that extra bit of romantic beauty.

Unfortunately Katie and Stacey didn’t have the convenience of timing their elopement with the setting sun. They had already secured their officiant and were searching for a photographer. The Sunday they had scheduled had turned into a wet, cold, drizzly mess. She asked me what she was to do if I couldn’t make it due to the weather, I told her that it had to come a Texas sized thunderstorm before I would cancel on her. Thankfully it maintained just a drizzle. The wind at 15 mph and 45ĚŠ was biting along with the drizzle but they were so thankful that neither I nor the officiant, Jay Dorfman, canceled on them. We finished what would normally be a wonderful 1.5 hour long session in under 25 minutes!
