My Proposal Process
1. Find Your Photographer
Reach out to your photographer and tell them what you have in mind. Be receptive to the photographer's feedback! Most photographers have considerable experience in proposals and how to navigate the stealthy occasion and are great at abrupt change and impromptu situations.
Discuss all the details and listen as they can anticipate challenges you may not have even thought about.

Selecting a meaningful location or a place with fond memories adds a personal touch to your proposal. These settings not only provide a beautiful backdrop but also evoke emotions. making the photos a reflection of your shared history and experiences. Bringing fun props like champagne to pop adds a playful element to the session. Also bringing your favorite snack or drinks can add a bit of fun and help energize you as well. It adds a casual and comfortable atmosphere, allowing you to be yourselves in front of the camera.

Sometimes what you believe would make a great background may not work due to the lighting conditions at that time of day. Consider a different time or an alternative location, if needed. Discuss where the photographer will be and how far away, talk about how you and your fiance' should be standing, or walking so that you place yourselves at the perfect angle for the best shots. Sometimes a minor adjustment of just two steps to the right or left can make your fiance's facial reaction more visible. Ensure that you thoroughly go through all the details.
