White Rock Lake Engagement Session

White Rock Lake is located off Garland Road and Buckner Blvd. in the heart of Dallas. It is always bustling with cyclists, runners, wakers, dogs and families. It is a little over 10 miles in circumference and offers multiple scenic views of the lake and the Dallas skyline. I absolutely love the lake and either riding my bicycle with my husband, walking with my dog or just sitting on one of the many piers jus soaking in the beauty. Many engagement sessions happen here at White Rock Lake. This is one of the most favorite places for photographers to go because of the many beautiful spots the lake and surrounding areas provide.

Katayna & Erik met me at the southeast end of the lake and we started their session with The Filter Building in the background sitting across the lake from us. I always ask my couples if they would like to incorporate their favorite food or snack or drink into their engagement session, so Katayna & Erik brought their favorite bottle of bubbly. They also had specially engraved champagne flutes that were etched in gold with their names and the date of their engagement.

After we finished the champagne, they changed clothes and I took them up to Winfrey Point where it offers the best view (IMO) of the Dallas skyline. As the sun was setting, they kicked backed and relaxed and just had some fun while enjoying the gorgeous sunset over the lake.

I hope you enjoyed this little snippet about White Rock Lake and if you need a photographer for your engagement session, I would love to help you out! My name is Arlene and I am a wedding photographer serving all of Texas and the greater DFW area.
